“We’re tireless advocates for the local farm and the Southern wild. Truly local beer and food fosters community and deepens our connection to the land. For example, we brewed a Baltic Porter, Farm’s Edge: Brumley Forest, with foraged black walnuts, sassafras, and hickory nuts – all collected on land protected from development and open to the public for wandering. For the beer’s release, we made a handheld pie with local sorghum and black walnuts. This beer and pie pairing shined a light on a new 600-acre public land that people might not otherwise know about. Our mission is to connect people to the land and to one another – beer and food are by-products.”
