We love supporting the local economy by finding the best local businesses for our ingredients and, of course, looking after the environment with everything from supporting local litter pick-ups to choosing eco-friendly packaging. Creating a fair and happy working environment for our team full of training experiences, supporting the community through initiatives (such as our free Social Lunch Club), and tackling youth unemployment with trainee and apprenticeship programmes are amongst our passions as part of our community.”

Signature Dishes

Sautéed oyster mushrooms with artichoke soup, mushroom ketchup and hazelnut gremolata (mushrooms grown by their local YMCA through Urban Mushrooms enterprise, which employs young people and gives them transferrable skills for the future); Harissa vegetable kebab; and mezze sharing plates.

What we say

This beautiful little restaurant is not only committed to everything we hold dear but is bringing something entirely new – a sort of turbocharged Ottolenghi-style of Mediterranean cooking that is as gorgeous to behold as it is to eat – to a Newcastle restaurant scene that has picked up dramatically in recent years and now goes from strength to strength.
